Services

Asbestos Pipe and Boiler Insulation Removal

The white wrap on basement pipes, boilers and ducts. Utilities and heating contractors want it gone before a new heater goes in.

Asbestos Floor Tile and Mastic Removal

Nine inch tile, sheet flooring and the black glue under it, lifted under containment so the rest of the house stays clean.

Asbestos Siding and Roofing Removal

Cement shingles and siding wet down, bagged and hauled to a licensed facility, with the disposal paperwork.

Mold Removal and Remediation

We find the water first, then remove what is affected, treat the framing and dry the space so it stays gone.

Basement and Crawl Space Treatment

Damp basements and tight crawl spaces cleaned, treated and dried, plus a straight answer on what is causing it.

Water Damage Cleanup and Drying

Burst pipe, failed sump or roof leak: saturated material out, drying equipment in, before mold takes hold.

Containment and HEPA Air Cleaning

Sealed plastic, negative air and HEPA filtration on every job, so fibers and spores stay in the work area.

Testing and Clearance Coordination

Independent labs handle sampling before and clearance after. You get the written results.

Selective Demolition and Disposal

Walls, ceilings and flooring taken out carefully, with legal transport and disposal of everything we haul.

Priced in writing after we see the property. If a job is not ours, we will point you to the right trade.

Mike, MHM Restoration LLC

A typical basement job

Wrapped pipes and a boiler, new heating system waiting. We seal the room, remove the material wet, wipe everything down, run HEPA filtration and haul the waste under manifest. The heating contractor starts the next morning.

After. Material out, surfaces cleaned, ready for the new system.

Recently had to have asbestos removed from my pipes before PSE&G would come out and replace my heater. Mike was able to come out and give me an estimate the same day I called. Mike talked me through the whole process from removal to cleanup.

Questions we get

Not here? Call (973) 390-1063. We would rather answer than have you guess.

How much does asbestos removal cost in New Jersey?

It comes down to how much material there is and where it sits. A basement pipe job prices very differently from a full floor of tile. We measure on site and give you a written price. Call (973) 390-1063.

Can you come out the same day I call?

Usually yes. Same day or next day, which matters when a utility or heating contractor is waiting on us.

PSE&G says asbestos has to be removed before my heater is replaced. Can you handle that?

Yes, it is one of our most common jobs. We strip the pipes, boiler and duct connections, clean up, and hand you the documentation so the swap can move forward.

Do I have to leave my house during the work?

Usually not for a contained basement job. We seal the area, run filtration and keep our route away from your living space. For bigger removals we tell you upfront.

Is asbestos always dangerous?

Risk comes from fibers in the air. Intact material left alone is low risk. If it is flaking, or you are about to open a wall or floor, have it looked at first.

How do you know if it is mold or just staining?

Mold needs water, so we start with the moisture history. If there is any doubt, testing settles it. No point tearing out a wall that did not need it.

Will the mold come back after you remove it?

Not if the water is fixed. We tell you what is feeding it: grading, a sump, a leak or ventilation. Cleaning a wet basement alone is temporary.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Licensed and insured in New Jersey, with the certifications required for asbestos work and disposal.

What happens to the material you remove?

Wet down, sealed in labeled bags, transported under manifest and disposed of at an approved facility. You get the paperwork.

How much experience do you have?

More than 30 years. The owner is on the job, not just on the phone.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes. Apartment buildings, offices, retail and small industrial, along with houses.

How do I get started?

Call (973) 390-1063 or send the form with your address and a short description. We will tell you what we see and what it costs.
